About Us
LipoFIT Analytic GmbH, which is based in Regensburg, was founded in April 2004 as a “SpinOff“ of the institute for biophysics and physical biochemistry. The business concept was awarded in several business planning competitions (among others Netzwerk Nordbayern and Science4Life). The company is structurally connected with the research association of the Universiy of Regensburg and of the University Hospital Regensburg.

LipoFIT Analytic GmbH offers extensive solutions in the field of the analysis of liquids. These solutions are based on the use of state-of-the-art methods of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and on the employment of own software packages which were especially developed for these tasks.
Therewith, on the one hand, it is possible to identify simultaneously thousands of chemical components of a solution and, on the other hand, all labour-intensive and error-prone laboratory technical steps prior to analysis become unnecessary. In short, the sample is again available in an unmodified state after a measurement period of only about 3 minutes.
There are almost no limits concerning the analysis of substances. It is, for example, possible to establish the lipoprotein profile of a sample of blood plasma, blood serum or the metabonomic profile of body fluids like urine. Additionally, it is possible to identify contaminations during drug production as well as incorrect protein folding. Furthermore, NMR offers the possibility to determine protein structures under native conditions. In the food sector the composition or possible contaminations can be investigated. In technical areas there are various applications, too.
